From the time we found out I was pregnant we knew our anniversary would be celebrated differently. The years before we had found a unique location with fun activities to fill 2-3 days. However, with a baby just over a month old we couldn't leave her (and didn't want to leave her) for long. Andrew was planning something and kept telling me it would be small and we would be staying at home. Grandma Wilcox took Lottie for a few hours while we had some alone time to celebrate our marriage of three years. While we did stay at home, Andrew had a lovely night planned and we had a lot of fun! We missed our baby girl lots, but it was so nice to be the two of us to celebrate us.
Valentine's Day was another special day. We didn't do anything big, but Andrew came home from the gym with a bouquet of flowers, one of which was for Charlotte. It was so sweet. She also had a little Valentine surprise for him! Not just the cutest little outfit, but a card she made with a little help from mom ;)
Our anniversary and Valentine's Day were just as special as any other year. If anything it was more special. You may not be able to go out and do the same things as you have in years past, but there is always something you can do together, which is what truly matters.

I LOVE this! My husband and I are trying to make the most of these years without kids. Trips, holidays, anniversaries, etc. because I know once we start our family, those things won't be as extravagent as we're used to.
ReplyDeleteI just started to follow you and just wanted to let you know that is the cutest card ever & her outfit is adorable!
ReplyDeleteCharlotte is beautiful (and so are you, momma)!! I love that your hubs got flowers for the both of you! So sweet!
ReplyDeleteWhat did you use for the paint on her feet? I want to make a card like that for my hubs!
